Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer (COO) Mr. Finch's firm-wide operational responsibilities include the design, implementation and ongoing management of Northwater's sophisticated portable alpha mandates and other alternative investment solutions. The Heads of Investment Operations and Structuring & Beta Portfolio Management report directly to the COO. Mr. Finch's significant capital markets and portfolio management expertise allows Northwater to marry our clients' investment needs with the appropriate market opportunities. His background also provides strong emphasis on risk identification, control and management. Prior to joining Northwater in 2002, Mr. Finch was a Vice President and Portfolio Manager for ING Investment Management Inc., where he had responsibility for derivative, option replication, fixed income, and index portfolios. Mr. Finch also designed optimal portfolios for ING's insurance companies, incorporating their unique liability characteristics and tax and regulatory constraints. Mr. Finch holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University. He has received the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute and is a member of the Toronto CFA Society.
