President Paul Robson is President of Northwater Capital Management Inc. Founded in 1989, Northwater is an investment management firm with assets under management of over $8 billion and has offices in Toronto, New York and Chicago. Mr. Robson was named President in 2006 with a responsibility for the overall strategic direction of the firm. He is a member of the firm's Investment Committee which overseas the management of Northwater's $4.8 billion fund of market-neutral hedge funds. Since joining Northwater in 1996, Mr. Robson has held various leadership positions within the firm. He managed Northwater's Synthetic Index and Portable Alpha portfolios, and established Northwater's Structuring desk where he was involved in developing and implementing appropriate investment structures for clients. Most recently, he was head of Marketing and Client Service. Before joining Northwater in 1996, Mr. Robson gained over five years of experience in investment policy analysis, index fund management, and derivatives investing with the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS). Mr. Robson holds a BA in administrative and commercial studies and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. He also holds the CFA designation and is a member of the Toronto CFA Society.
